East Grand School District is accepting applications for a full-time Administrative
Assistant/Registrar at Granby Elementary. Position includes benefits and begins August
5, 2024.
Job Title: School Secretary - classified salary schedule
Typical Work Year: 9 months - 167 Days
SUMMARY: Provide customer service, clerical support, and registrar support to the
building staff, students, parents, and community.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability

* Provide customer service; greet visitors, answer phones, assist callers with
questions and give information or route calls to the appropriate person or
department.
* Provide clerical support for the building. This may include assisting parents and
students, assisting with special projects, typing, data entry, preparing
correspondence, filing, receiving/preparing mailings, assisting with the collection
of fees, maintaining websites
and copying.
* Assist with attendance and student attendance processes. Communicate with
parents regarding student absences.
* Assist with maintaining and monitoring student records and files. Considerable
judgment is exercised in the release of confidential information, retention of

information in the student official record, and researching and interpreting
information to be entered into the record.
* Assist with monitoring students on lunch or daytime breaks and during time-out
sessions.
* Perform other duties as assigned, including providing back-up coverage to other
positions, assisting students in the health clinic and contacting parents/guardians
as necessary. Clinic duties may include assisting students with minor injuries and
illnesses, dispensing authorized medication, contacting parents or emergency
medical personnel if needed and keeping accurate records of care given.
* Performs varied and responsible work in the registration and transfer of students,
and in the preparation and maintenance of student records and report cards.
* Supports parents with the registration process

 

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Experience is preferred but may not be necessary for hiring.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS: Criminal background check required
for hire. CPR and First Aid training preferred at hire; required two months after hire.
Meds administration required two months after hire.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:
• Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers and peripherals.
• Operating knowledge of and experience with Google - Gmail, Google Docs, Google
Calendar; financial software, publishing software, website maintenance, Student
management systems.
• Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment, such as
telephones, copiers, E-mail, etc.
